Diartskonageng is a theatre company, publishing house and arts education hub. Our publishing wing is driven by a love for playwriting and the idea that plays are also a valuable addition to literature. This is why making playscripts available for reading remains a priority to us. We continue to contribute to arts education through partnerships with training institutions and organisations that focus on the development of theatre and the arts in general. We have worked with Wits University, PACOFS, The Market Theatre, The State Theatre, Savanna Trust (Harare), The Gauteng’s Ishashalazi Festival, among others and have presented work in theatres across the country. Overall we are concerned about the future and sustainability of the theatre and are asking endless questions while exploring new forms of making it, presenting it and celebrating it.
